Rockery Garden Look what thrives near the root of the cedar trees. Sedums, succulents, daylillies even a purple leaf heuchera adding some dark foliage contrast. The right plant in the right place makes gardening easier. The soil around cedars is typically dry, poor and sandy so don't try to grow moisture loving plants like astilbe here.
I yearn for more urns. This one sits at the entry to the ivy gazebo and gives instant height to a low bed of hosta and corydalis.
